CoutsKidz Programs
It is important to us at Couts to let the kids know that they are integral to the church NOW. They are not here, biding time until they grow up and become active members. Their time is already here. Our goal is to encourage them to grow as valid and active Christians right now. The programs offered for the children of Couts grow their faith in Jesus Christ while also coming together as a united church family. Through fun and exciting programs and curriculum, the children come to know and experience God's love, God's grace and God's majesty. We hope you join us!
PromiseLand Sunday School
Children's Sunday School is every Sunday morning from 9:45 until 10:45 for all kids ages 3 years to 6th grade. Pre-K Sunday SchoolTo all kids three and four years old by September 1, 2009: you are invited to join your friends in a fun and loving learning environment as you study Group's Hands On Curriculum. Have a blast learning about God with the help of Whiskers the Mouse, enjoying yummy snacks and engaging in fun learning activities. Kindergarten/First Grade Sunday SchoolIf you are in Kindergarten or First Grade during the 2008/2009 school year, you're invited to join Ms. Sarah and Ms. Karey. Using Promisland's 5-G: Discovery curriculum, you will hear amazing Bible stories and learn how to use the teachings of the Bible in your everyday life. PromiseLand Sunday SchoolAre you going to be in 2nd to 4th grade this year? This is the place for you! Join Leslie and Rachel as they work to bring the Bible to life through fun skits, story telling and imagination. Small Groups will give you the tools you need to apply what you've learned to all of your daily interactions. TweensThis year we are excited to offer a class for the tweens! Tweens are 5th and 6th graders who are not quite ready for youth, but too old for children's Sunday School. We plan to transition into the youth group by moving towards a discussion based Sunday School group and joining with the youth occasionally in their outings.
Children's Church
Attention: Kids Kindergarten through Third Grade
After joining the rest of your church family for praise and worship, join your Children's Church leader to participate in a Bible lesson that is designed with you in mind. After the lesson, you always get the opportunity to apply what you've learned in fun, creative activities!
KidZone
Our mission in KidZone is to help kids experience Christ through the arts. The kids will participate in during the occasional worship service by singing or in a play. They will experience other forms of the arts such as drama, photography, art, cooking (snacks), and video, all based on a themed Bible story. In order to tailor the program to the varied ages represented, KidZone is split into two age groups: Joyful Noise (Kindergarten - 2nd grade) and Shout4Joy (3rd - 6th grade) WISD School pickups are available.
